The service
OftenCited builds and runs a publishing engine for professionals: a personal editorial site, a positioning and voice foundation, ongoing publishing, and a citation program. What is included depends on the plan you choose, as described on our pricing and catalog pages at the time you buy.
Plans, pricing, and payment
Prices are stated on the site in US dollars. The Foundation Build is a one-time fee; the monthly plans bill monthly until you cancel. Annual prepay, founding-client terms, and any promotional pricing apply only as stated on the site or on a plan we share with you. Payment is handled by Stripe; by paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms for the payment itself. A plan we generate for you holds its prices for the protection window stated on that plan.
What you own
You own your domain, the essays and other work we produce for you, and your subscriber list, in full and from the start. The voice model, claim map, and positions files we build are yours; if you leave, they leave with you. We keep no claim on your audience or your content.
How we work together
Every piece is built from your recorded thinking and published in your voice, and you approve it before it ships. The arguments are yours. We do not post as you in real time, and we do not fabricate work you did not say. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us and for your right to publish it.
Cancellation
You can cancel a monthly plan with thirty days' notice. There is no termination fee. Because the domain, site, content, and list are already yours, offboarding is handing over credentials and an export. One-time fees already paid are not refundable once the work has begun, except as required by law or as we agree in writing.
Guarantees
We promise the work described in your plan, delivered to the cadence stated there. We make no promise about specific results, rankings, citations, press, hires, deals, or, on the visa-evidence track, petition outcomes, except for a guarantee we have put in writing and published, which then applies on its own stated terms. Nothing on this site is legal, medical, financial, or immigration advice.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to publish anything unlawful, to impersonate someone else, or to abuse our forms, sign-in, or systems. We may decline or end an engagement that would require us to publish something false, deceptive, or against our editorial standards, and we may suspend access used to attack the service.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care, but to the extent the law allows, OftenCited is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.
Changes, entity, and contact
We may update these terms; material changes update the date above and, where it matters, we will tell you. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which OftenCited is established; the operating entity and its registered address are available on request.
